Ooni marries Ronke Ademiluyi as fifth wife, set for the sixth

The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, has married Princess Ronke Ademiluy as his fifth wife, days after his wedding to Ashley.
According to reports, the latest event was held on Thursday at Ile-Ife, Osun State, with friends and family members in attendance.
Photos and videos from the traditional wedding that surfaced online showed the new bride beaming with smiles.
Like his previous weddings, Ooni was visibly absent while the royal guards, palace chiefs and workers were there to represent the Yoruba monarch.
The fifth queen is a princess, influential and financially buoyant like Olori Mariam.
She is said to be in her early 50’s and she owns the African fashion show, London.
Ooni’s fifth marriage is coming few days after he married Princess Ashley.

Blogger Kemi Filani provides a few details about Princess Ronke Ademiluyi, 5th wife of the Ooni, said to have been known the Ooni before he ascended the throne in 2015.
The London-trained lawyer is a very well known entrepreneur who shuttled between the UK and Nigeria.
Ronke is the founder of the popular fashion showcase platforms, the AFWN & AFWL franchises.
As a prince then, the now Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi’s company was one of the major sponsors of the ‘Africa Fashion Week Nigeria’ the fashion showcase platform founded by Princess Ronke Ademiluyi, who is a single mother of one. As a princess in Ile Ife, Ronke’s great-grandfather was Ooni Ademiluyi Ajagun.
She has been in charge of the Queen Moremi Initiative; a global ambassador and founder of the Adire Odua.
Her wedding to the Ooni comes up three days after his 48th birthday on October 17.
There are also insinuations that the Ooni is set to take a sixth wife.
Princess Temitope Adesegun, the rumoured incoming sixth wife of the Ooni worked as the Personal Assistant to the late Secretary to the State Government, Princess Aderenle Adeniran-Ogunsanya during the Babatunde Raji Fashola led administration.
She was once married but divorced and based in Lagos working as director of Hope Alive Initiative Poverty Alleviation Advocacy that is powered by the House of Odua inspired by the Ooni.

Sanwo-Olu appoints KWAM1’S daughter as aide
Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State has appointed Basirat Damilola Marshall as the Senior Special Assistant on Tourism.
Damilola Marshall, the daughter of Fuji maestro, King Wasiu Ayinde Marshall popularly known as KWAM1, disclosed this on her Instanstory on Instagram Thursday.
Her appointment has been attracting congratulatory messages from Nigerians.
In a recent viral video, KWAM1, during a performance at the coronation and birthday reception of Oba Sikirullah Apena on Thursday, thanked Sanwo-Olu for appointing his daughter into his cabinet.
The fuji singer noted that it was his daughter, Damilola, who asked him to publicly thank the governor for her appointment.

She posted a flier with the logo of the Lagos State Government on her Instastory with, “Contraulations! Barrister Damilola Basirat Ayinde Marshall Esq on being appointed as SSA to the Governor of Lagos on Tourism.”
Congratulating her on the appointment, a Nigerian, Olanrewaju-Smart Wasiu, wrote, “Congratulations Barr. @damimarshall_ on your appointment as the Senior Special Assistant to the Lagos State Governor on Tourism. This is a deserving recognition for your hard work and contributions to our party”, to which she responded by saying “Thank you, sir.”
Another person, Balogun Basia wrote, “Please, join me in congratulating my friend K1 and the entire family on the appointment of my daughter Barrister Basirat Damilola Marshall as the SSA to the governor of Lagos State on Tourism. Damilola, this shall be the beginning of many good things that will come your way and that of your siblings Insha Allah, Alaumoh Amin.”

Popular Gospel singer Morenikeji Adeleke, also known as Egbin Orun, is dead.
Her death was confirmed in an Instagram post by her colleague Esther Igbekele.
The gospel singer expressed shock and sadness, noting Egbin Orun’s sudden departure without bidding farewell.
According to her, the two had recently spoken, unaware of the impending tragedy.
Igbekele praised Egbin Orun’s beauty, kindness, and strong support for her ministry.
