Actress Kemi Afolabi has sought help on behalf of her daughter, Darasimi, who is in Nigeria.
The actress began treatment for her year-long illness, lupus after announcing she was battling the autoimmune disease in early 2022.
The mother of one, who had been receiving special treatment in Baltimore, Maryland, USA, returned to social media with a video of herself looking fit and healthy.
Kemi Afolabi shared a caption on social media seeking assistance from Nigerians in the United States travelling to Nigeria.

The actress sought help to send gifts for her daughter, who will resume school soon.
“Anyone in Maryland USA leaving to Nigeria this weekend or max next week?
Help me take something to my daughter for school Edakun.
Thank you in advance,” she wrote.
Fans have taken to her comment section to render help and assistance.
Kemi Afolabi shared beautiful photos of herself and her daughter, Darasimi, on Instagram, accompanied by a diamond caption that notified all of how priceless her daughter is.
Artistes such as Yewande Adekoya, Iyabo Ojo, Mercy Aigbe, Itele, Esther Kaslejaiye, Taiwo Bola, and others took to Kemi Afolabi’s timeline to shower her with love and prayers.

Sophia Momodu, entrepreneur and mother of Davido’s first child, has publicly appealed to fans to stop referring to her as the wife of the Nigerian music star, stressing that she is no longer in a relationship with him.
Momodu made the appeal in a recent video shared on Snapchat, where she expressed frustration that despite her breakup with Davido, who is now married, some fans still address her as his wife.
She emphasised the need to respect people’s choices and existing marriages, urging fans to move on and allow her to live her life peacefully.

“I once met a content creator who started hailing me as ‘mama Imade, OBO’s wife.’ I was shocked because I am not his wife,” she said.
“Please stop referring to me as Davido’s wife. Let us respect people’s marriages and rules. If people have moved on, allow them to move on in peace. Allow me to move on in peace,” Momodu added.
The entrepreneur said she has moved on from her past relationship with the Afrobeats star and is now focused on her personal growth, business interests, and raising her daughter, Imade Adeleke.
Her comments have since sparked conversations on social media about privacy, respect, and boundaries involving public figures and their former partners.

Nollywood actress Laide Bakare has criticised some of her colleagues and fans for creating social media content following the death of fellow actress Allwell Ademola, expressing shock and disappointment over how the tragedy is being handled online.
Bakare, in an emotional post shared on Instagram, lamented that some individuals were active on platforms such as TikTok, playing games and collecting virtual gifts just hours after Ademola’s passing.
“The way fans and colleagues are creating content with the passing of our dear sister is really sad. God is watching everyone. Rest well, Allwell,” Bakare wrote.

She added that she was particularly disturbed that some of Ademola’s close associates remained active on TikTok despite the tragic news.
“Still in shock, some of her very close pals were even open on TikTok yesterday, doing tap tap, busy playing games and collecting gifts. Haaaa! Aiye le oo!” she said.
Bakare’s remarks came amid an outpouring of tributes from colleagues and fans following the announcement of Allwell Ademola’s death. Another actor, Alesh Sanni, had earlier raised similar concerns, questioning the sincerity of some public condolences and highlighting inconsistencies in how support is displayed during moments of grief.
As previously reported, Allwell Ademola, aged 49, died after suffering a heart attack on December 27, 2025.
Her family has since expressed appreciation for the messages of condolence and support received from the public, adding that details of her burial arrangements would be announced in due course.
