“I’m being pressured to get married” – Yemi Alade cries out

Yemi Alade, has opened up about the pressure she gets from family and close friends to get married and have kids.

During her most recent interview with Cool FM, Yemi Alade, while subtly denying her reported marriage to her manager, discussed the pressures to marry and how she feels about pressure to marry and have children, particularly from family members.

Yemi Alade stated that the pressure to marry increases near the end of the year, but she has mastered how to respond.

She revealed that marrying the right partner is critical, as is planning ahead of time for the children that a marriage may produce.

In her own words:

“People get married every year, especially towards the end of the year, it gets even crazier. I’m under no pressure honey. Nobody should be. When it’s time, it’s time.”

“Family pressure is a difficult pressure to shake off because it’s the people you respect and look up to that are insisting that you get married, but I believe if they have your best interest at heart, they will wait with you.”

Because it’s more important to have the right partner than to just get married.”

“But asides that, I don’t think anyone should be in so much of a rush to make wrong decision and be with the wrong partner.”

“Have you guys checked how much Pampers is? Look, these babies they are gifts, but when they’re born, they need things. Let’s stop borning children to come and suffer.”

“Let’s normalize that. When mummy says go and marry, go and have child, say mummy do you have trust fund baby?”

“Are you ready for trust fund baby? Let’s have questions to ask these people that have opinions, that are watching the womb on when we should.”

“I think no one should be under unnecessary pressure. Have you seen the economy? Calm down! For this economy, we no dey play like that oh.”

I didn’t snatch Asake’s mother from her husband -Musibau Alani

Legendary Fuji musician, Alhaji Musibau Alani has refuted rumours spreading on social media that he snatched Fali, the mother of famous afrobeats musician Asake from her estranged husband, Mr Odunsi, fondly called Malo.

In a chat, the Stand Well Well crooner, who is Asake’s step-father confirmed that he was married to the singer’s mother in a union that produced three kids, two of which are late, but denied snatching her from any man.

Following heated allegations of neglect from Mr Odunsi against Asake, social media was agog with rumours that Alani was responsible for the breakup between the singer’s parents.

Some also alleged that the veteran Fuji musician was on the band stand during Asake’s naming ceremony. But Musibau Alani has said there’s no iota of truth in all the rumours.

According to him, “I met Fali as a single mother, she was already separated from her husband, whom I didn’t know at that point in time. We got along and she moved in with me with her son Ahmed (Asake). I trained the boy.

“I later met her ex-husband, Malo who was working at a council in Lagos Island then. The day he saw me at the council, he was even telling his colleagues to thank me for taking good care of his son Ahmed. For the records, I did not snatch Fali from her first husband, and I did not play or attend Asake’s naming ceremony,” Alani stated.

Controversial singer Portable apologises to Saheed Osupa over copyright dispute

Controversial hip-hop artist, Portable, has publicly apologised to Fuji musician, King Saheed Osupa, for referring to him as “big for nothing.” The apology comes after Portable faced widespread criticism for his disrespectful remarks towards the Fuji legend.

The dispute began when Portable used a line from King Saheed’s song in one of his tracks, leading to allegations of copyright infringement. Osupa’s distribution team reportedly filed a complaint, resulting in the removal of Portable’s song from major streaming platforms, including Apple Music and Spotify.

In a video shared on his Instagram page, Portable expressed regret for his earlier outburst, attributing his actions to his temperament. He appealed to his fans and King Saheed Osupa for forgiveness, acknowledging the role of financial disputes in the conflict.

“My fans, I’m a hot-tempered person. I have said my mind, and it has ended. My fans, please forgive me. King Saheed Osupa, Oba Orin, please don’t be offended. It’s money that causes fights. It’s money that destroys relationships between siblings and even between father and son. It was music money that caused our fight because it was when I went to collect money for the song that I was told it had been removed from streaming platforms. Please, my daddy, forgive me and accept me as your child,” Portable pleaded.
